This is a Fully Electronic Audio/ Video Selector. It has 4 video and 4 stereo audio inputs that can be switched to Dual Outputs.
This model also has S-Video sockets, so if you are running DVD player or Digital Camcorder which have a S-Video Socket they will connect directly to the unit.
The other fantastic feature the AV42 has , is the Learning Remote option, what it will do is learn any IR remote signal and when that IR signal is received it will change to that channel, for example you can program the DVD's PLAY button in to the switcher, and then when ever you push PLAY on your DVD remote this will select the AV channel that you DVD is pluged into.
For example, set it up at home using,
- Play buton for the DVD,
- Channel up signal for the PAYTV to select PAY TV ,
- Channel Up for the Digital Set top box to Select Digital TV
- and the VCR Play button to select my VCR
