What is Voltage?
All appliance's work on a Voltage, depending on where you live your Mains Voltage may be 240 Volts or 110 Volts. The second problem you get is the Plug will not be the same overseas to what you have at home. Most places have 3 pins, One is active The other will be neutral and the third is earth. Sometimes the third one (earth) is not used or connected. Here in Australia we use 3 pins and our voltage system is 240 Volts, so if you are coming from the USA, which is 110 volts, and plug your shaver into our power points, it will go BANG and may even explode (Letting the smoke escape :>). Unless it is designed to operate on 110 AND 240 volt. You will find on all units a compliance sticker, it has the Model,Make , serial numbers on it as well as its Operating Voltage- CHECK IT Before plugging in..
